Erica’s work as an urban planner focuses primarily on regional and strategic long-range planning projects locally and around the nation. She specializes in map-making and GIS analysis, community engagement and environmental planning. She has a strong background in outreach to minority and Spanish-speaking communities and a strong interest in helping empower people from all walks of life to help shape the future of their cities.
As an urban planner, Erica has developed a varied toolset for helping realize vibrant community, including: project management; work shop facilitation; Spanish-English translation; survey design, and convening a diverse range of stakeholder groups in a manner oriented toward productive outcomes. Erica is also experienced at synthesizing large amounts of complex information into easy-to-read language for varying audiences. Recent projects she has contributed to include: the Basalt Creek Concept Plan Tualatin and Wilsonville, OR), the Milwaukie Commercial Corridor Enhancement Plan (Milwaukie, OR), the Nicholson Corridor High Capacity Transit Concept Plan (Baton Rouge, LA), and the Beaverton Creekside Natural Resource Plan (Beaverton, OR).
