Oak Point Community Visioning Plan
Envision Oak Point was a community vision created to develop a consensus vision for a 730-acre segment of northeast Plano, now known as the Oak Point area. The policies within the plan were created to enhance the community, accommodate needed mobility improvements, encourage reinvestment in areas such as the Plano Market Square Mall, and encourage developments that compliment key amenities such as Collin College, Plano Event Center, and the Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve.
A robust community engagement process that included over 300 people and 12 engagement methods created the basis for the plan. Fregonese convened and oversaw a Stakeholder Committee that further sharpened the plan over the course of a year.
